What the data is already telling us
The FPI tracks threats across 245 countries and territories, providing a global view of the trends and patterns emerging in the threat landscape. The data is already painting a picture of how digital risk differs around the world:
- Phishing is the most prevalent scam category globally, with 120M+ phishing attacks detected in the latest 30-day snapshot.
- Online shopping scams are among the most common scams in the United States, with dating scams on the rise in Czechia, Germany and other parts of Europe.
- North America recorded the highest average digital risk (29.6%), followed closely by Europe (28.5%), Asia-Pacific (27.4%), Middle East & Africa (25.6%) and Latin America (22%).
In addition to these high-level trends, people can dig into country-level findings and understand which threats are currently most prominent where they live, providing valuable context for the messages, offers and interactions they encounter online.
