Private medical insurance

Gen provides company-paid private medical insurance through AXA PPP for all permanent and fixed-term team members, with coverage starting from your date of hire. Eligible dependants—such as your spouse, partner, and children under 30—can also be included. The plan covers treatment for acute medical conditions, with access to a wide network of approved healthcare providers.

This benefit is provided as a taxable benefit in kind and is visible through our internal benefits platform.

Private dental insurance

At Gen, we offer company-paid private medical insurance through AXA PPP to all permanent and fixed-term team members, with coverage beginning from your first day. Eligible dependents — including spouses, partners, and children—can also be covered. The plan supports treatment for acute medical conditions through a trusted network of providers and includes a range of services to support your overall health.

We also offer private dental insurance through Denplan. Membership is optional, and while Gen covers the full cost for employees, coverage for dependents is available through payroll contributions. Both medical and dental benefits are provided as taxable benefits in kind and are accessible through our internal benefits platform.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

You and your eligible family members receive up to six confidential, professional counselling sessions by phone or in person per issue per year—at no cost to you. Talk to a professional counsellor, who can help you:

  • Manage stress, anxiety, depression, and addiction
  • Handle relationship issues and divorce
  • Develop your resilience
  • Cope with illness and death
  • Manage your finances and create a financial plan
  • Access legal advice from a licensed attorney
