Medical

At Gen, your health matters. That’s why we provide company-paid private medical insurance through Allianz Insurance Malaysia for all team members. Coverage begins from day one, immediately upon joining the company.

This is exclusively for inpatient coverage, and eligible dependents—such as your spouse and up to 4 children under 18—will be covered at RM80,000 per annum. Coverage begins after the probationary period. 

For outpatient coverage, you will be covered under HealthMetrics at RM1,000/year for single employees and RM2,000/year for married employees.

 

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Our Flexible Spending Account (FSA) empowers you to take charge of your health and wellness. You’ll receive an annual allowance that can be used for:

  • Outpatient GP (once medical outpatient coverage has been exhausted)
  • Specialist care 
  • Dental care 
  • Optical & vision 

The allocated annual allowance for the FSA is at RM4,000/year for single employees and RM5,000/year for married employees. 

You have the freedom to choose how to use your allowance across these categories, making it easier to access the care you need, when you need it.

Women's wellness

Gen is committed to supporting women’s unique healthcare needs. Our Women’s Wellness claim covers female-specific health services such as:

  • Preventive screenings
  • Pregnancy-related care
  • Fertility-related care

This benefit ensures our women have dedicated support for important aspects of their health at every stage of life.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

You and your eligible family members receive confidential, professional counseling sessions by phone or in person per issue per year—for free. Talk to a professional counsellor, who can help you:

  • Manage stress, anxiety, depression, and addiction
  • Handle relationship issues and divorce
  • Develop your resilience
  • Cope with illness and death
  • Manage your finances and create a financial plan
  • Access legal advice from a licensed attorney

You can also access online resources to help you manage your wellbeing on your own, including childcare and parenting support services, financial tools, and legal advice.
